Global Ark Initiative Hosts Successful Medical Camp in Sirata, Baringo County

Global Ark Initiative, in collaboration with the Baringo County Government, Nitibu Network Africa, and the Rotary Club of Narok, successfully hosted a large-scale medical camp in Sirata, Baringo County.

The outreach targeted rural and unreached areas, serving less privileged communities including the Ilchamus, Tugen, and Endorois. Many of the patients attended were internally displaced persons (IDPs) affected by recent floods, who have faced heightened health vulnerabilities due to displacement and loss of livelihoods.

The event brought together over 150 dedicated medical professionals from various specialties who volunteered their time and expertise to serve the community. Over the course of the camp, more than 3,000 patients received free medical consultations, treatments, and referrals. Services offered included general check-ups, specialist consultations, maternal and child health services, dental care, eye screening, and the distribution of essential medicines.

This initiative aimed to bridge the healthcare access gap for underserved communities in the region, ensuring that even the most remote households could receive vital medical attention.

Speaking at the event, Global Ark Initiative representatives led by the chair, BOD Mr. Lemarkoko expressed gratitude to all partners, medical volunteers, and community members who made the camp a success, noting that the collaboration demonstrated the power of partnerships in improving health and well-being.

Global Ark Initiative remains committed to promoting accessible and equitable healthcare for all, and looks forward to future partnerships that will continue to bring life-saving services closer to those who need them most.
